Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard is the command center of the MedCompliance platform. This guide explains every metric, widget, and feature you'll see based on your role.

Dashboard by Role

System Admin Dashboard

Key Metrics:

  • Total Organizations: Number of healthcare facilities using the platform
  • Total Users: All users across all organizations
  • Active Inspections: Ongoing inspections platform-wide
  • System Health: Uptime percentage and performance metrics
  • Widgets:

  • Platform activity feed
  • New organization signups
  • Support ticket queue
  • Revenue dashboard

  • Organization Admin Dashboard

    Key Metrics:

  • Active Users: Users in your organization
  • Pending Tickets: Inspections waiting to be scheduled
  • This Month's Inspections: Completed inspections count

    Left Side:

  • Logo: Click to return to dashboard
  • Organization Name: Current facility (admins only)

    Compliance Status

    Green (Pass): All systems inspected and passing

    Yellow (Expiring Soon): Inspection due within 30 days

    Red (Failed/Overdue): Failed inspection or overdue

    Inspection Counts

    Inspections are categorized by status:

  • Scheduled: Future inspections
  • In Progress: Technician checked in
  • Pending Review: Report uploaded, awaiting admin review
  • Completed: Finalized and archived
  • Failed: Critical deficiencies found
  • Performance Metrics

    For Technicians:

  • Completion rate: % of assigned tasks completed on time
  • Average time: Hours from check-in to report upload
  • Client rating: 1-5 stars from client feedback
  • For Organizations:

  • Compliance rate: % of systems currently passing
  • On-time completion: % of inspections done by due date
  • Average response time: Days from request to completion
  • Customizing Your Dashboard

    Widget Management (Org Admin & System Admin)

    1. Click "Customize Dashboard" in top right

    2. Drag and drop widgets to reorder

    3. Toggle widgets on/off

    4. Resize widgets (small, medium, large)

    5. Save layout

    Filters and Date Ranges

    Most widgets support filtering:

  • Date Range: Today, This Week, This Month, This Quarter, This Year, Custom
  • Status Filter: All, Active, Completed, Failed
  • Type Filter: Annual, Quarterly, Emergency
  • Technician Filter: View by assigned technician
  • Setting Default View

    1. Navigate to Settings → Preferences

    2. Select "Dashboard Settings"

    3. Choose default date range

    4. Select which metrics to highlight

    5. Enable/disable email digest

    Notification Types

    Email Notifications:

  • Inspection scheduled
  • Report uploaded
  • Inspection due soon (7 days before)
  • Failed inspection alert
  • User account created
  • In-App Notifications:

  • Real-time task updates

  • System announcements
  • Configure Notifications:

    1. Click profile icon → Settings

    2. Navigate to Notifications

    3. Toggle each notification type

    4. Set email frequency (instant, daily digest, weekly)

    5. Save preferences

    Mobile Dashboard

    The mobile dashboard is optimized for field work:

  • Visit dashboard on mobile browser
  • Or download MedCompliance mobile app (Enterprise)

    Speed up your workflow:

  • G then D - Go to Dashboard
  • G then I - Go to Inspections
  • G then R - Go to Reports
  • N - New inspection
  • U - Upload report
  • / - Focus search bar
  • ? - Show all shortcuts
  • Dashboard Tips

    For Efficiency:

    1. Pin Frequent Actions: Keep most-used buttons in quick access

    2. Use Filters: Don't scroll through everything

    3. Enable Notifications: Stay updated on critical items

    4. Customize Layout: Put important widgets at the top

    For Accuracy:

    1. Check Date Range: Ensure you're viewing the right period

    2. Verify Filters: Make sure no filters are hiding data

    3. Refresh Data: Click refresh icon for latest updates

    4. Review Alerts: Red badges indicate items needing attention

    Troubleshooting

    Problem: Dashboard shows no data

    Solution: Check organization/role assignment. New accounts may need 24 hours to populate.

    Problem: Metrics seem incorrect

    Solution: Verify date range and filters. Click "Reset to Default" to clear all filters.

    Problem: Can't access certain features

    Solution: Check your role permissions. Some features require admin access or Enterprise subscription.
